On 18 December 2025, OneSource presented the ForestSphere project at the University of Coimbra, within the Department of Informatics Engineering (DEI), following an invitation from a faculty member. The session took place in the scope of the subject “Mobile Networks and the Internet of Things”, engaging master’s students in Informatics Engineering and researchers in a discussion on the application of Digital Twin technologies to forest management and wildfire risk assessment.

The presentation highlighted the project’s ongoing work on integrating multimodal and multiscale data from ground sensors, aerial platforms, and satellite remote sensing, as well as the role of Artificial Intelligence in enabling high-resolution forest mapping, real-time monitoring, and predictive analyses. The session also served as an opportunity to exchange perspectives with the academic community and to showcase how Digital Twin–based approaches can support more informed and effective decision-making in forest and wildfire management.
